The five basic rules of fasting
By following these basic rules during your fasting stay, you can optimize your fasting experience and help your body regenerate and revitalize. Use fasting to reflect on yourself and rethink your eating habits. Identify potential triggers for unhealthy eating habits and set goals for a healthy lifestyle in the long term.
Rule 1
Don't eat anything (just drink!)
During fasting, you can only drink: tea, vegetable broth, fruit or vegetable juices and water. The amount of liquid must be at least 2.5 to 3 liters per day. So be sure to drink more than your thirst requires. A little salted fasting broth can be helpful for blood pressure.
rule 2
Omit what is not absolutely necessary!
Omit everything that has become a dear habit but harms the body during fasting, such as nicotine, alcohol and coffee. The same applies to medications — insofar as they are dispensed with according to family doctors! -, appetite suppressants and laxatives. Analyze what's causing illness and decide to say goodbye to it forever.
Rule 3
No hustle and bustle, no everyday stress!
Everyday life remains the same, but not how you deal with it. Professional and family ties, appointments and telephone are given a new ranking position. Encounters with yourself instead of sensory overload, leaving yourself to “internal control” instead of constantly submitting to external constraints. L O S L A S S EN!
Rule 4
Behave naturally!
Listen to your body. Relax and make time for your hobbies. Anyone who doesn't like to exercise so much should make sure to exercise regularly, or at least take long walks.
Rule 5
Promote all decisions!
Empty the intestines regularly, rinse the kidneys sufficiently (drink volume!) , sweat and breathe. Continuous care of the skin and mucous membranes is also important.
